This is a simple, quick recipe that everyone will love. Turn it into a fun taco-style bar with everyone’s favorite toppings—from fresh veggies and salsa to sour cream. Easy, crowd-pleasing, and perfect for bringing everyone to the table.
4–6 tbsp homemade taco seasoning (doubled for 2 lbs beef) or 2 packets taco seasoning (or to your liking)
1 can refried beans
Directions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Cook the beef
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning. Let simmer a few minutes.
Mix filling
Add the refried beans to the cooked beef and mix until well combined and creamy.
Prepare the pan
Line a baking sheet or pan with parchment paper.
Assemble
Lay one puff pastry sheet flat on the pan.
Spread the meat mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border.
Place the second pastry sheet on top.
Seal edges
Roll and pinch edges together like a pie to seal.
Bake
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Watch the pastry closely while baking, as ovens can vary and it may cook more quickly than expected.
