Panko-Crusted Turkey Tenderloins

By Heartstone Farm Kitchen

Turkey tenderloins are the perfect candidate for the air fryer. You can't beat the beautifully crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside result. You can bake them in the oven but they won't be quite as golden and evenly crunchy as the air fryer. If you do bake them, place them on a lightly oiled rack and flip halfway through for airflow and even cooking. And feel free to place them under the broil briefly at the end to crisp them up if needed.

Panko-Crusted Turkey Tenderloins

Ingredients

  • Heartstone Farm all-natural turkey tenderloins

  • 1 cup flour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated

Directions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°

  2. Mix the flour with the salt and cayenne pepper in one bowl

  3. Mix your panko and Parmesan in a second bowl

  4. Beat your eggs in a third bowl

  5. Pat dry your turkey tenderloins and dredge them in flour (shaking off excess), then egg, then press them firmly into the panko/Parmesan mix so they’re well coated

  6. Place your tenderloins in the air fryer, ensuring they do not overlap (you may need to cook in 2 batches depending on the size of your air fryer)

  7. Air-fry for 8 minutes each side or until the internal temperature of your turkey tenderloins is 165° (if you cut them into smaller pieces, they will cook quicker)

  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve nice and hot when the panko coating is at its crunchiest
