HOW DO WE SHIP YOUR ORDER?

Ensuring you receive a quality product you will love is our top priority. We carefully pack and ship your order frozen so it arrives in perfect condition. Until we pack your box, our product is kept in freezers at 0 degrees.  We use dry ice and compostable insulation to keep your order frozen and safe on its trip from our farm to your table. All of our packaging can be composted or recycled (no styrofoam). 

You will receive an email with your tracking number when your order ships.

FAQs

Q: HOW DO SUBSCRIPTIONS WORK?

Heartstone Farms subscriptions are convenient and flexible. You choose your box, how often you want a delivery - simple as that. Plus you can easily skip or delay a delivery - or cancel anytime online.

Q: Will my order arrive frozen?

We pack your order in ice blankets (and/or dry ice) to insure it arrives frozen. We use insulated boxes (that are completely compostable) as well. There are times when an unforeseen delay with FedEx can result in a 1-2 day delay. As long as your meat arrives “refrigerator cold” (lower than 41 degrees) it is safe according to the USDA. In the event that your meat does not arrive frozen or refrigerator cold, let us know. We will replace it or issue you a full credit.

Q: Can I track my order?

Yes you can. When your order ships you will receive an email with a UPS tracking number. You’ll also receive an email when it is “Out for Delivery” and when it has been delivered.

Q: What if I’m going away when my order is scheduled to be delivered?

The great thing about our subscription boxes is you can skip your next delivery, or change the delivery date easily in your Customer Portal.

Q: Can I add-on to my order?

Yes you can. In fact, each month we offer our subscribers “Exclusive” deals that are our lowest prices on some of your favorite cuts.

Q: DO SUBSCRIBERS gET BETTER PRICING?

Yes - our subscription boxes are all priced significantly lower than buying the items "a la carte." Plus subscribers get "members-only" deals not available to anyone else.

Why Heartstone Farm Chicken is Simply Better

Heartstone Farm chicken is a cut above any store-bought chicken you've ever tried.

Our chickens are raised with exceptional care, resulting in a flavor that's unmatched.

We source our chicken from eight Amish-owned family farms in Central New York and partner with Morning Star Poultry, an Amish-owned processor in Fort Plains, New York, to ensure the highest quality from farm to table.

Unlike the mass-produced chicken found in supermarkets, our birds are raised on small family farms where every member of the family is involved in caring for them.

Our chickens are never given antibiotics or growth hormones. They thrive on pasture during the warmer months, and when winter comes, they are kept in cage-free barns, where they stay warm and have constant access to feed and water.

When it’s time for processing, our chickens are transported less than 30 minutes to Morning Star, a small, family-owned USDA facility.

One of the key differences with our chicken is the air-chilling process.

Most industrially processed chicken is cooled in chemical-laden water baths, causing the meat to absorb unwanted additives. At Heartstone Farm, we believe your family deserves better. Our poultry is butchered the same day it arrives at our facility, following all USDA guidelines meticulously. It then passes through several environmentally controlled chambers, where purified cold air circulates around the chicken.

The result? A healthier, safer, and more flavorful chicken that’s simply better.
