On a 500 acre farm in Charleston, Maine, Heartstone Farm raises 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef. Farmer Dan explains the extra care that goes into raising the cows "the way nature intended".
Pork from Knight Family Farm
Meet Colt Knight - professor and pig farmer. Colt is on a mission to share his knowledge with other farmers and create a sustainable food system. But at the end of the day, he's most at home caring for his pigs on his farm in Maine.
Turkey from Stonewood Farm
Three generations of the Stone family are devoted to raising turkeys - all naturally, in humane conditions, without growth hormones or antibiotics. This family farm in Vermont provides Heartstone with Thanksgiving turkeys as well as year-round tenderloins, ground turkey, and turkey sausage. 
Herring Brothers Butcher
Our beef and pork is processed at Herring Brothers in Guilford, Maine - a fourth generation butcher which has been in operation for over 100 years. They are the opposite of factory farm processors - they're talented artisans who truly care about the farmers, animals, and the customer.

Our meats are flash-frozen at peak freshness and shipped in eco-friendly packaging with plenty of insulation and dry ice to keep them cold during transit. We offer fast, reliable shipping with 1-2 day delivery in most areas. You’ll receive an email with your FedEx tracking number as soon as your order ships.

Is the meat organic?

Everything we do on the farm is consistent with organic standards and practices, however we are not "certified" organic. This is a choice we've made due to the costs of getting certified. Our practices include no antibiotics, no chemical fertilizers, and, of course, no feed except for grass. The chicken from Tide Mill Farm is certified organic by MOFGA. The pork from Serendipity Farm - similar to our beef - is not certified organic but is raised to organic standards.
