We pack and ship your order frozen direct from our farm in Maine. All of our packaging can be composted or recycled (no styrofoam). Until we pack your box, our meat is kept in our freezers (at 0 degrees). We use ice blankets and dry ice to keep your precious meat super cold during its trip to you. Our packing team (our neighbors) like to say they are packing every order like it's going to their "favorite aunt."

Cooking Tips

  • Season well: Since boneless, skinless chicken breasts are relatively lean, it's important to season them well before cooking to maximize their flavor. You can use a simple seasoning blend of salt, pepper, and garlic powder, or get creative with other spices and herbs that complement chicken, such as paprika, thyme, or rosemary.
  • Use high heat: Chicken breasts cook quickly, so it's best to use high heat to sear and brown them on the outside while keeping them juicy and tender on the inside. You can cook them on a grill, a stovetop skillet, or in the oven at a high temperature (around 400°F or 205°C) for best results.
  • Cook to the right temperature: To ensure that your chicken breasts are cooked safely and evenly, use a meat thermometer to check their internal temperature. They should reach a minimum internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) to be safe to eat. However, be careful not to overcook them, as this can cause them to dry out and become tough.

We work with family farms in the Northeast US to insure the birds are raised right from hatching to processing. That means that (weather-permitting), they have access to outside, that they are fed the highest quality organic feed, and that they are processed without stress.

A Note From Farmer Dan

Our standards for chicken are high. The chickens must be all-natural, never receiving antibiotics or growth hormones. We insist on air-chilling in the processing to capture the true chicken flavor. And they have to be delicious!
