    A Heartstone Beef Share is more than bulk beef. It is a carefully selected mix of steakhouse favorites, butcher-shop classics, hearty roasts, and everyday essentials, conveniently packaged and frozen for freshness.     Since 2017, we have delivered Beef Shares to more than 1,000 families. Now, after a two-year pause, Heartstone Farms Beef Shares are returning this fall in limited quantities.

    FedEx 2-Day Air guaranteed delivery: $49. Your family's Beef Share is valuable cargo, which is why we are upgrading your delivery to FedEx Air for guaranteed on-time delivery to you. Your Beef Share is packed in three insulated boxes (six for a Side Share) with dry ice and delivered frozen to your door.

      Every package is vacuum-sealed, clearly labeled and flash-frozen for peak flavor. The assortment and price are fixed, with no separate butcher or processing bill.

        Details

        Each Quarter Share contains 67 pounds of finished, packaged beef. A Side Share contains 134 pounds. This is not hanging weight or an estimate based on an unprocessed animal. It is the actual amount of cut, packaged and frozen beef you will receive.

        Ground beef is packed in 1-pound packages. Shaved steak, stew and kebab meat, short ribs and hot dogs are also packed in 1-pound packages. Steaks, roasts and burger patties are portioned in the sizes shown in the complete cut list on this page. Everything arrives frozen and ready to place directly in your freezer.

        Because beef is a natural product, the weight of an individual steak or package may vary slightly from the listed size.

        Each Beef Share is a fixed assortment, and you will know exactly which cuts are included before ordering. Individual cuts cannot be substituted.

        Shipping

        Your Beef Share is shipped frozen in our compostable insulated shipping boxes with dry ice. It is sent by FedEx Air Express for guaranteed delivery in 2 days. Shipping is a flat $49 per share and is not included in the product price.

        You may choose November or January delivery when ordering. We will email you before your share ships, followed by tracking information once it is on the way.

        You do not need to be home when your Share is delivered. However you should be available to put the meat in the freezer within 6 hours or delivery. Please bring the box inside and transfer the beef to your freezer as soon as possible after delivery.

        Q: What is a Quarter Beef Share?

        A Heartstone Quarter Beef Share is a curated assortment of approximately 67 pounds of beef. It gives you the convenience and tradition of stocking your freezer with a quarter beef share, without buying by hanging weight or arranging custom processing.

        Q: How much beef is included?

        Each Share contains approximately 67 pounds of beef. Because beef is a natural product, the weights of individual steaks and packages may vary slightly.

        Q: Can I choose or substitute cuts?

        No. This is a fixed assortment, and individual cuts cannot be substituted.

        Q: Who is a Quarter Beef Share best for?

        It is designed for families and households that regularly eat beef and want to keep a dependable assortment of high-quality cuts in the freezer.

        Q: Where does the beef come from?

        Our beef is raised on Heartstone Farms and other small family farms we personally vet. We know how the cattle are raised and the standards behind the beef we sell.

        Q: Is the beef 100% grass-fed?

        The cattle are grass-fed and grain-finished. Grain finishing helps develop marbling, tenderness and the rich beef flavor our customers expect.

        Q: Are antibiotics or added hormones used?

        No. The cattle selected for our Beef Shares are raised without antibiotics or added hormones.

        Q: When will my share arrive?

        Choose your preferred delivery week before adding the share to your cart. Your Beef Share will ship frozen by FedEx Express during that week. You will receive an email with your tracking number. You do not need to be home when your Share arrives, but you should plan to put it in the freezer within 4 hours of it being delivered.

        Q: Is shipping included?

        Shipping is $49 for each Share (Quarter or Side) - this helps us to defray the FedEx costs ($100+. )

        Q: Can I pick up my share on the farm?

        Unfortunately, we do not have the freezer space to keep Shares on the farm so we can not offer that as an option.

        Q: Can I pay in installments?

        Shop Pay Installments are available to eligible customers at checkout. The available payment terms will be displayed by Shop Pay.

        Q: How long will the beef keep in my freezer?

        Because it is flash frozen, your beef is good for up to 12 months in your freezer..

        Q: What happens if there is a problem with my shipment?

        If there are any issues with delays to your delivery or damage which effect the quality or safety of your Share, we will work with you to make it right either with a replacement of a refund.

        Q: Why has the price of a Beef Share gone up so much?

        The price is higher than when we last offered Beef Shares, and it is fair to ask why.

        Nationally, retail beef prices increased approximately 34% between July 2022 and July 2026, based on the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Beef and Veal Consumer Price Index. Our costs for cattle, processing, labor and packaging have risen along with the broader beef market.

        We recognize that $1,399 is a substantial purchase. We have priced the Share according to what it now costs to offer American-raised beef from Heartstone Farms and other small family farms we personally vet. We are not willing to lower our standards or substitute imported beef simply to offer a lower price.
