FAQs

Q: Are the hams fully cooked?

Since it’s fully cooked, ham can be served cold, at room temperature, or heated, with or without glaze.

Q: How big a ham will I need?

We recommend thinking of a serving size of 1/2 lb per person. Better to err on the side of ordering a bigger ham and having left overs than to not have enough.

Cooking Tips

  • Thaw in the refrigerator for 48-72 hours.
  • Ham is fully cooked making it possible to serve directly from the
    refrigerator.
  • Appliances vary, adjust cook times accordingly. We recommend using a meat thermometer so you do not overcook your ham.
  • Ham is traditionally baked in the oven. Cook for approximately 15 to 20 minutes per pound at 300 F.
  • No matter the size of the ham and the temperature of the
oven, it should be cooked until the internal temperature
reaches 140 F. Covering with foil throughout the cooking
    process keeps it moist.
  • If applying a glaze, do so in the last 30 minutes of baking
so it will caramelize and not burn.
  • Rest ham for 15 minutes before slicing.
