Our Classic Cured Bacon is the traditional kind—rich, smoky, and deeply flavorful. It’s made from premium pork and carefully cured with brown sugar and natural smoke for that crisp, savory bite you remember from Sunday mornings.

Unlike our Uncured Bacon, this one uses a classic curing process with a touch of sodium nitrate for preservation and that signature cured flavor and color.

Perfect for breakfast, BLTs, or wrapping scallops—this is old-school bacon done right.

Cooking Tips

There are several ways to cook bacon, but the best method depends on personal preference and the equipment available. Here are three methods we've used:

Oven-baked: Preheat your oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper, and place the bacon on the sheet, making sure not to overlap. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy.

Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. We prefer cast iron, using a cast iron bacon press. Place the bacon in the pan and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until crispy.

Microwave: This one isn't a favorite, but we're sharing it anyways - Place bacon on a microwave-safe plate lined with paper towels. Cover with another paper towel and microwave on high for 4-6 minutes, depending on the wattage of your microwave, until crispy.

Regardless of the cooking method you choose, it's important to pay attention to the bacon to ensure it doesn't burn. Also, make sure to drain the bacon on paper towels after cooking to remove excess grease.

Farmer Dan Signature

Pork raised the way nature intended

Pigs are beautiful creatures. Which is why it is such a shame to see the cruel conditions in which they are conventionally raised.

The pigs have access to outdoors 365 days a year. They are not injected with antibiotics or growth hormones.

The result is pork that tastes like pork should taste - juicy, savory and slightly sweet. The way nature intended.

A Note From Farmer Dan

We proudly source our pork from our neighbors, Serendipity Farm. Everything about their operation is different (and better) than conventional pork factory farms - and you can tell by the real pork flavor in everything from the bacon to the pork chops.
